The Department

Capital Markets IT (CMI) involves technology solutions and systems used in financial markets for trading, investment, and related activities. This includes electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, market risk, counterparty risk, algorithmic trading, data analytics, and regulatory measures. The use of advanced technologies like API’s, artificial intelligence and cloud solutions are also becoming increasingly prevalent in capital markets to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes.

 

Mission

As an intern, your mission is to become a valuable asset to our organization by:

  • Test Case Design: Develop automated test scripts, comprehensive and effective test cases based on user stories, functional specifications, technical documentation, testing frameworks (Cucumber & Selenium),  for capital markets.
  • Test Execution: Execute test plans, including functional testing, regression testing, usability testing, and performance testing, to identify software defects and adherence to quality standards.
  • Defects/Bug Reporting: Document and track software defects, providing clear and detailed descriptions of the issues, track their resolution and verify fixes.
  • Documentation: Assist in documenting, test plans, and test results, ensuring clear and accurate record-keeping, with a focus on the specific requirements.
  • Quality Assurance Process Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our QA processes and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality standards are met.

 

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Have hands on experience on programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) for test automation.
  • Understanding & practical experience of QA tools like Selenium, Rest Assured, Cucumber BDD framework, Java Libraries & methods, in house developed framework(AutoFusion).
  • Understanding of some of the DevOps activity & tools like GitLab(Code repository), CI/CD concepts, Docker, Pipeline setups, Jenkins etc.
  • Understanding how to generate synthetic data and the importance of using realistic datasets without relying on real-world information.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).

 

Qualifications and Profile

  • Pursuing Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,  Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • Familiar with Agile/ Waterfall methodologies, and SoftwareTesting lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in programming languages eg. SQL, Java, C++, .NET etc, data analysis and presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, attention to detail, & curious.
  • Independent contributor with the ability to collaborate and work effectively within the team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for automation, standardization and best practices.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to latest/new technologies.

 

The scope will be adapted depending on the situation and the progress of the trainee.
